Volunteering

In addition to all the tree-athletes who will be taking part in Tree-Athlon 2009, we need a group of enthusiastic volunteers to help run the events and make them an even bigger success than last year.

Volunteers will get involved in some or all of the following: event setup (some lifting required), assisting with registrations, stewarding, motivating the runners, handing out medals, fruit and goodie bags at the finish line, assisting with on-the-day registrations for the race, registrations for tree walks and tree trails, assisting with planting workshops (Leeds and Manchester only) and other activities throughout the event. All volunteers will arrive on site at 8:00am and finish at around 3:30pm.

Trees for Cities will provide free refreshments, a volunteer T-shirt, goodie bag and a great day out working with people and benefiting the environment!
