Heaton Park is a huge family park with a fascinating history. Between the 14th and 20th centuries only two families, the Holland and Egerton families, owned the Heaton Estate. You can still visit the 17th century Heaton Hall and other beautiful buildings, designed by John Wyatt, and enjoy the acres of parkland surrounding them. With an animal centre housing alpacas and rare breeds, a world class golf course, rowboats on the lake, the Manchester Beekeepers Association headquarters and a Horticultural Centre, Heaton Park has something for everyone!
There is also an exciting events programme that has everything from music and theatre to funfairs and astronomy evenings.
Heaton Park is owned and maintained by Manchester City Council.
